Art

I recharge in one of two ways, being around positive people, and being creative. I’ve always loved making art, in any variety. It uses a part of your brain that sets you free, no longer bound by the rules of the world, but able to create things for pure joy.
The only thing greater than creating art is sharing it. So here is a glimpse into some of my art over the years.

What am I up to?

Reading

I’m currently reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - recommended to me by my dad. So far it’s challenging my outlooks, and I can imagine will only reinforce my positive outlook on life!

Enshittification - Cory Doctorow
I’ve been told that this book is increasingly important for anyone working in tech. It’s next on the list!

Learning projects

I’m always eager to try learn new things, it’s is especially important in this rapidly changing world. Here’s a few of my current projects:

  • HTML and CSS. My plan for this year is to remake this website from scratch using my own HTML and CSS. It’s a long process, but a fun one. I’ve been enjoying the freedom and possibilities of working directly with HTML as opposed to using a website creation tool like Squarespace.

  • Augmented Reality in Unreal Engine. Inspired by my time at Outscape Games, I have been working on an interactive AR experience that can connect people and educate them in a social and collaborative way. The technical side of creating an AR game is harder than I thought! But I persevere.

  • Foundations in Project Management by Google. With my aspiration to move further into project management, I think it is important to keep learning. This course by Google does a deep dive into project management methodologies, data-driven decision making and many more project management fundamentals. I look forward to putting these skills into practice.

I love cooking, send me recipes to try!
